The Pool
Where is it?
The Water Therapy Pool, the first in Goa, has been built in the private and secluded grounds of the “Guggenheim”. It is located on the main road from the local market town of Mapusa (2 kilometres) to Anjuna in North Goa, (away from the tourist belt). Details on how to get there can be found on the find us page.
What is the pool like?
The Pool is specially built for water therapy. Large deep steps are built at one end of the pool for therapy work and together with a central hand rail and half steps allow easy access to students and clients.
- It will accommodate up to 10 people for training.
- It is 9.5 metres (31’) long and 5 metres (16’6”) wide.
- The pool is 1.18 (46”) – 1.22 (49”) deep.
A large viewing panel with seating behind is built into the side for demonstrating and filming technique above and below the water line.
- Solar power is used to maintain the high water temperature (34 Celsius) required for this work.
- The pool has a tent like sliding mesh cover to filter the suns rays and protect the participants.
- Adjoining the pool are a meeting/dining room, Western and Indian style toilets and 3 showers.
- The water, virtually chemical free, uses the latest technology to maintain the highest quality and sweetest taste.
